The hunter said he hit the spike high and there was blood where he shot it but could not find any blood after that. Rosco and my son Matt took this one. Rosco pointed out minute spots of blood for the first 60 to 70 yards. Rosco backtracked twice during the first part of the track. After that the blood picked up and the deer twisted through the thick bush but pretty much stayed in a straight line with one 45-degree turn. Rosco found the deer some 340 yards away from were he was shot.
